27th ERES Industry Seminar: Friday 22nd March 2019 - Athens (Greece)

These one-day seminars are open to all ERES members and are designed to provide a forum to discuss current themes of national and/or international interest relevant to a real estate industry audience. Keynote speakers and panel members are invited from the real estate industry, academia and from research institutions. A particular focus is placed on discussing themes relevant to the role of new technologies in Real Estate as well as REICs in Greece. The seminars are free of charge and are designed to facilitate the professional-academic networking within ERES.

Join us for an exciting ERES Industry Seminar on "Greek Real Estate Market: REICs - Innovative Technologies”. Through a series of presentations and panel discussions we will touch upon current technological developments in the field of Real Estate, new challenges such as Big Data, Machine Learning and Mass Valuation platforms, and their implications for the efficient and real-time asset management. How were such platforms applied for the review of tax values in Greece & Cyprus? How could Big Data be utilised in property selection?

Apart from the role of technology in Real Estate, the seminar will also focus on the analysis of the REIC (Real Estate Investment Companies) market in Greece. Which are the currently active companies in the Greek REIC industry? Which are their differences compared to REICs in Europe? Which are the advantages and disadvantages of investing on REICs? What is the Greek Legislation regarding to REICs?
